The buses are mainly the way for Lao people to travel in Laos. The travellers will have a lot of choice on the road N?13 (between Oudomxay-Luang Prabang-Vientiane-Paksane-Thakek-Savannakhet-Pakse) with VIP bus (with air conditioning) or normal local bus. For the rest of the country where the roads are not good, local bus without air conditioning and pick-ups (locally called "Song Theov" or "Two rows seats" are used for public passengers. Buses depart on queue.
On our package tours, we use minivan for maximum 6 persons (we do not use car even for 1 person with the exception of the request of the clients), we use bus of 25 seats for maximum 17 persons, the bus of 35 seats for 30 persons and the bus of 45 seats for 40 persons.
We have our sub-agent for transportation in Luang Prabang, Vientiane, Savannakhet and Pakse. To minimize the cost for transportation, we use the appropriate sub-transportation agent for our service of the package tours.
In Luang Prabang, the World Heritage City, the bus of more than 15 persons are not allowed to circulate in Zone 1 of the town, so the group more than 7 persons we have to interchange to the appropriated means to go in that area (improved pick-up or touk touk). Before, the interchange area used to be in front of the Post office, but from the 4th December 2009, further to the regulations, it moves to the Old Stadium.
In the North of Laos (Oudomxay, Luang Namtha, Muang Sing, Phongsaly), for the group of more than 7 persons, as the roads are not so good, we use the Chinese bus and we limit the group to 16 persons maximum. The tour to the North is somehow an adventure tour.
