Attapeu Province is located in the south-east of the country, composed of 5 districts. To the north it is bounded by Sekong, to the west by Champassak province. To the east, the Annamite Mountain Range separates Attapeu from Vietnam. It borders Cambodia to the south. Its area is 10.320 Km2 and its population is 114.300 inhabitants with 11 inh/km2. It composes of 5 districts.
